SAFETY MEASURES AND EQUIPMENT


There are lights on the course (the part of the park where the races take place), and as an additional safety measure from sundown (8:00 PM) until sunup (5:00 AM), it is recommended for participants to wear headlamps or some other type of lighting on other part of the body, due to reduced visibility, which participants should provide for themselves.

Start/finish area will be staffed overnight.
A cyclist will circle the course continuously from sundown (8:00 PM) until sunup (5:00 AM).
The police station has been notified about this event.

According to the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), which follows the rules of World Athletics, any commercially-available shoes with shoe sole no greater than thicknesses of 40mm and maximum one carbon plate is permitted (https://iau-ultramarathon.org/shoes-regulation-applicable-to-ultradistance.html).

The Sri Chinmoy 24-12-6 Hour Race holds a bronze label from the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU Bronze Label) and therefore the race follows the rules of the International Association of Ultrarunners and World Athletics.
